Report - Spot On! - Brixham - 20/06/14

Glorious sunshine, but an Easterly wind put wind over tide, and seriously affected the drifts, by practically putting us on stop.

1st up for me was a pollack of around 5 ot 6lb, quickly followed by a double figure ling.

3 further fish in the next 3 drifts were all pollack.

The tide died off completely and with no drift at all the fishing went quiet, except for 2 x 23lb cod and the odd small pollack.

A move to another wreck resulted in another ling for me on the 1st drop, followed quickly by another.

A few pollack made up the rest of my catch.

Steve J also managed to catch a couple of ling (his 1st ever) and proved he was king of the put, by landing a 2lb'er.

A few wrecks were tried on route home but nothing was interested in our lures!

Report - Cefn Sidan - 18/06/14

Last minute decision to fish the last 1/2 hour of light with the lrf rod on a glorious evening.  Managed only one fish - a small flounder.

Report - Oxwich - YAK - 05/06/14

Day off, stunning weather and a light westerley blow - Oxwich bound!

Started off drifting for plaice, with no luck, so decided on an experimental session over parts I hadn't fished before.

1st up was a small codling, quickly followed by a pollack and a ballan wrasse.

Not a lot of movement except for wind drift, so moved out onto the sand - dabs, lsd and a grey gurnard or two quickly followed.

No anchoring today - all fish on the drift.

Stunning day, and a few fish to boot.

Report - Cefn Sidan - 04/06/14

Dug a few worms late afternoon, and ventured onto Cefn Sidan for HW - neap tide.

No nets due to the strong NW breeze, and a few fish about to keep the rod tip busy - all small though!

Finished with 12 bass (all well under legal limit) and a flounder.

Report - Seren Y Mor - 31/05/14 (Danglers)

1st Dangler trip of the year for me, and a bash at the hounds.

After a short steam, the hounds soon started coming on board, and provided steady sport throughout the day.

1 Common hound, 5 starry's, a couple of codling, a bull huss and 4,000 dogs kept me busy throughout the day.

Biggest hound for me wend 10lb 8oz.
